THE BEECHWOOD PROJECT
This main floor started as a traditional layout with a formal dining room and small kitchen, which was not conducive to the family gatherings. The new space now features a large kitchen and open concept dining space that connects to the living area. We brought cohesion to the interior spaces with new finishes throughout. In addition to the main floor renovation, we updated two bathrooms with all new finishes and fixtures.
PROJECT SUMMARY
The former kitchen was small and only allowed for a single person to cook; it did not meet the needs and function of this busy family. The formal dining room did not allow a table to extend for large gatherings, and it felt disconnected to the other spaces. Our goal was to create an open concept space, update the aesthetic and maximize glazing to bring in the view of the beautiful yard. To ensure a seamless transition through the rest of the house, we updated finishes throughout, including two full bathroom renovations. The family wanted the spaces to feel warm and inviting including unique textures, wood accents and rich finishes.

PROJECT OUTCOME
With unique design moments and accent features throughout the space, we were able to bring new life to this home. We achieved warm spaces and good flow between rooms while still respecting the unique shapes and individual rooms within the structure of the home. The clients now have a welcoming, warm and open space to gather and entertain.
